Organizing and working remotely with almost 400 volunteers all over the world is not an easy task.
The Standby Task Force for this reason has a structured system that allows the volunteers to join different teams, divide the work to be done in sub-tasks and then aggregate the final product in the Ushahidi platform. This structure is not fixed, but it changes according to the deployment, the requirements, the teams activated.
In the Libya Crisis Map deployment we activated almost all the teams, with the exception of the SMS team, because there is no SMS short code or phone number connected to the platform.
Here is how the teams interact with each other and how the information goes from the cloud, to the platform and from there to UN OCHA.Click on the image to see a bigger version. This chart was created by Anahi Ayala Iacucci and Sentil Prakash Chinnachamy.
