remote assessments

We are able to deploy large numbers of volunteers to examine imagery (and potentially video) in order to make rapid assessments of, for example, damage or shelter location.

We use cutting edge technical platforms to verify each data point by vetting the same image through multiple volunteers to ensure consensus.

For example in the MicroMappers platform we deploy with QCRI, three volunteers must agree on the classification of tweets or images before the system accepts them.

We have worked with UAViators to classify imagery from UAVs in a number of disasters.

Our unique network of trained and experienced volunteers enables us to respond rapidly and to undertake assessments on a scale that would be challenging on the ground.
