Update #5 on Refugees in the Balkans deployment

This is the fifth update on the deployment for refugees on the Balkan route.

Have you met Helena? She’s one of the Leads of this deployment, and she’s our contact with Internews. She is also one of the very first Standby Task Force volunteers, and she now sits on our Board of Directors.

Yesterday she posted this message on Slack:

I just wanted to give you a bit of a general update. Internews staff working on the ground are looking at the information you are collecting. They are already finding it very useful, as a way to crosscheck the contacts they make on the ground and look for other possible contacts. On Wednesday, I will make some summary reports from this data for them, which they expect to also find very useful as a way to identify gaps. Internews are working to set up better information channels for refugees so they can get access to the services and information they need.

If you have any question, at any point, about how your work is contributing to what Internews does, please feel free to ask me […].

And thank you. Thank you so much for dedication your free time to help a group of people in need. Keep up your great work!
