On January 19 – 21 the 2011 Esri Federal User Conference (FedUC) took place in Washington DC. This conference is an invaluable learning opportunity and a gathering of federal geospatial leaders, decision makers, and geographic information system (GIS) professionals.
Standby Task Force member Craig Luecke, 20 year member of an Urban Search & Rescue Team working under the positions of Planning and Technical Information and also the project lead for RAVEN EYE – autonomous robots that work in disaster areas, was there to talk about his extensive experience as member of Search & Rescue Teams and talked also about his role as Standby Task Force member, where he say: “I realized how strong and how important social media is!”
